Clean Start Propane Workshop

About the Event: This FREE event is a one-day, propane-targeted workshop, focused on providing enhanced educational opportunities on the alternative fuel, vehicles, and related issues and policies. An estimated 50-100 transportation and environmental professionals from state, city, and industry are expected to attend.
This workshop will highlight the Clean Start National Propane Fueling Program, which includes the installation of 10 LPG stations in the Atlanta area, one vehicle service station, and LPG Training for Veterans & "At Risk" Service Technicians, all scheduled to complete by the end of 2011.

About the Event: The goal of Georgia Tech's Earth Day Celebration is to focus attention on the environment and increase people's awareness of the world around them. With an annual participation of more than 3,000 people, this is one of the largest Earth Day celebrations in the southeast. The event is free and open to the public, and features 70 exhibitors, eco-friendly giveaways, recycling opportunities, a clothing swap, an office supply exchange, live music, and organic popcorn. Our theme this year is "What it Means to Be Green." Join us as we celebrate with a purpose!

Clean Start Technician Training (Propane)

About the Event: The Clean Start Technician Training is a two-day program that will provide an innovative outreach program specifically for veterans and out of work or at risk service technicians. The initiative aims to retain and certify hundreds of technicians and veterans each year for work in the alternative fuel industry. The training will teach Attendees propane principles, propane safety, operations, diagnostics, and maintenance. Attendees will be trained on various LPI systems such as the IMPCO system , the Roush system, and the Clean Fuels USA system. The training will feature class time and labs in which Attendees will gain hands on experience with the systems.
Upon completion of the class, each Attendee will receive a certificate in recognition for having completed the training.
